I studied ND Horticulture followed by Floristry in 2004/05 and joined Greenmount Association!! I Then returned to college as an instructor and assisted with VEP course.
I work part-time in Dundonald Nurseries which is near the Ice Bowl. It hosts a very good restaurant known as ‘The Secret Garden’. I use my floristry in corporate events, weddings and funerals.
Studying my hobby and following my interest in horticulture and flowers has opened up many huge opportunities including travel. For example I managed to arrange my niece’s wedding flowers on top of Mount Rigi in Switzerland.
My latest project and my biggest landscape design so far is Cregagh House, 162 Upper Knockbreda Road Belfast where I was asked to lay out a peaceful garden for clients to stroll in.
There are stunning views over the city, Cave Hill and the docks.

“This old building has been given a new life and look.  As Headquarters of the Church of Ireland Church’s Ministry of Healing this building has been specially adapted to meet their requirements. Using the latest building techniques it has been transformed from a damp and draughty derelict, into a modern energy efficient and contemporary building. The rear garden can be accessed directly via a bridge from the first floor”.
